The long lost recordings on Sand Never Sets were made in Bergen by producers Hans Petter Gundersen, Kato Aadland, Jorgen Traaen and songwriter Alisdair Stirling in the late 1990s. Stirling and Traaen went to form the electronic duo ToY, Aadland worked with Sondre Lerche and Royksopp and Gundersen went on to form Tweeter Friendly Music and the Last Hurrah.
